Annapurna Ghandruk Trek is a short but fascinating trekking destination in the Annapurna region of Nepal which is located in the Western part of the country. It is one of the most enchanting and popular trekking itineraries in the popular Annapurna region of Nepal. Annapurna region is crowded for the most part of the year as the visiting tourists come here to enjoy the adventures of trekking in Nepal and also to enjoy the natural sightseeing in the world famous region. Annapurna Ghandruk Trekking with the Royal Heritage Trek is a nine-day long trekking itinerary during the course of which the visiting tourists can witness the beauty of the Annapurna region which is popular not just inside the country but also outside the nation. It comes as no surprise to anybody that the region of Annapurna falls as one of the must-visit trekking trails from across the world.
The panoramic view of the Mountains and the Himalayan Range of the West including the ones of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Langtang, among others, and the settlement areas and the villages of the local living in the region are also the highlights of the trek. The trekkers will also have the chance to learn about the way of life of the people living in the region which should be of the interest of the visiting tourists. The trail also follows a thinly inhabited settlement area, passing through the local communities and villages, the local people and their indigenous culture. The word Annapurna originates from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘goddess of the harvests’. Annapurna Ghandruk Trekking is an easy trekking destination which introduces the visiting trekkers to the popular Gurung village of Ghandruk lying in the Annapurna region.
Annapurna Ghandruk trekking begins with a scenic drive to the City Pokhara from the Capital City of Kathmandu. You can also take a flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu. Your real trekking then begins from Nayapul the next day after you reach there after an hour of drive from Pokhara. It is a mild trekking and also an easy one as the maximum altitude you come across during the trekking is around 2000 meters. It doesn’t require any prior trekking experience and is also suitable for the novice ones.

Outline Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel
Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu 
Day 3: Drive (6hrs) or Fly (30 min) to Pokhara
Day 4- Drive to Nayapul by taxi, trek to Ghandruk (4hrs) (1940m)
Day 5- Trek to Pothana (6hrs) (1900m)
Day6 -Trek to Phedi (3 hrs) and drive to Pokhara by taxi
Day7 –Drive or fly back to Kathmandu
Day 8- Free day in Kathmandu
Day 9- Departure from Kathmandu
Costs included in the price:

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Transfer to hotel
You will be welcomed by our representatives there at the Airport upon your arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will then be transferred to the Hotel where you will be briefed about the travel itinerary. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu 
On the second day of the itinerary package, you will be engaged in the sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. After finishing breakfast at the Hotel in the morning, you will begin the sightseeing tour visiting the Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur and enjoying the ancient art and architecture of the monuments. Likewise, the tourists can also visit the Pashupatinath Temple, Swyambhunath Temple and also the Bouddhanath Stupa which are important destinations for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. You will return back to the Hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Drive (6hrs) or Fly (30 min) to Pokhara
On the third day, you will either be driving to Pokhara (around 200km) via Prithivi Highway or take a thirty minute flight from Kathmandu and land at the Pokhara Airport. If you drive to Pokhara, you will have the chance to witness the natural beauty of the river and also the hills on the way. Overnight stay at hotel, inclusive of full board meals

Day 4: Drive to Nayapul by taxi, trek to Ghandruk (4hrs) (1940m)
After breakfast in the morning on the fourth day, you will take a drive to Naya Pul (42km) via car/taxi. Naya Pul is the starting point of the Annapurna Ghandruk Trekking. From Nayapul, you will begin the day’s trekking as you will walk for around four hours, enjoying natural beauty of the region and reach the wonderful Gurung village of Ghandruk. Ghandruk is also a VDC of Kaski district and is mostly popular for its Gurung culture and the panoramic views of the mountains including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre, among others. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Ghandruk.

Day 5- Trek to Pothana (6hrs) (1900m)
On the fifth day, you will ascend for a short while and make your way towards the village of Pothana which is the last village before you head back to Pokhara. The village of Pothana is wonderful and also a beautiful village where the trekkers can enjoy the natural beauty of the region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day6 -Trek to Phedi (3 hrs) and drive to Pokhara by taxi
On the ninth day of the itinerary, you will walk until Phedi from the village of Pothana which should take around a couple of hours. From Phedi, you will drive to Pokhara in a taxi. After reaching Pokhara, you will be transferred to the Hotel where you will spend the rest of the night.

Day 7 –Drive or fly back to Kathmandu
On this day, you will have breakfast in the morning at the Hotel and then either drive back to Kathmandu along the Prithvi Highway or take a flight from Pokhara to the Capital city of Kathmandu. If you go by drive, it will take around six hours while if you opt for a flight then you will reach there in 30 minutes. After reaching the Capital, you will be transferred to the Hotel.

Day 8- Free day in Kathmandu
A day before your departure, you will have a free day in Kathmandu. On this day, you can either have a full day of rest at the Hotel or else you can stroll on the streets of Thamel and Basantapur area and buy souvenirs and gifts to your loved ones back home. You can even have the pleasure of rickshaw ride in the Capital. You will return to the Hotel in the evening.

Day 9- Departure from Kathmandu
On the final day of the itinerary, you will be transferred to the International Airport in Kathmandu from where you will catch a flight back to your home country.
